Ed Sheeran has sparked rumours he has secretly married fiance Cherry Seaborn after sporting a wedding band onstage.
The Shape Of You singer, 26, announced his engagement to his sweetheart in the New Year – the pair usually keep all their relationship details secret.
And, as Ed took to the stage for Monday’s War Child gig in London’s Indigo – eagle eyed fans noticed the chunky white gold band.
Thrilled fans took to Twitter in their droves to congratulate the star – despite the marriage being unconfirmed.
“Oh my God, Ed Sheeran is a husband,” one fan gushed. Another added: “This is the best news ever!”
Announcing his engagement, Ed took to Instagram back in December writing: “Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx,” he wrote on it.
A photo he posted on New Year’s Eve is believed to show Cherry, also 26, chilling on a sofa as Ed grins into the camera.
Just seen on the ring finger of the woman’s left hand is something sparkly – which may well be the ring Ed used to pop the question.
The happy couple have known each other since school and Ed fancied her even then, but their relationship didn’t survive the long distance when Cherry went to university in America.
However, they rekindled their romance in 2015 and Ed’s BFF Taylor Swift even threw them an anniversary party a year later.
While Cherry keeps herself out of the spotlight, Ed gushes about his love for her every so often.
He recently admitted he could see them tying the knot, telling The Kyle and Jackie O Show: “I’m pretty…yeah I feel pretty good about it.”
And he even said he was feeling broody about the prospect of starting a family with Cherry.
“Massively, yeah. I wanted to be a dad, like, last year,” he said when asked about wanting to become a dad.
“I’m ready, let’s go – tour bus babies, little fat, chubby babies that just walk around.”
And in April 2017 he said he was “the happiest and most comfortable I’ve ever been in my life”, telling eTalkcTV: “I’ve had time to put into a relationship, I’ve known her since I was 10, my parents know her parents, she lives around the corner – well we live together now, actually.”
More recently, Ed revealed his No.1 hit Perfect was inspired by his long-term girlfriend.
And, when asked if Cherry was ‘the one’, Ed gushed: “Undoubtedly, undoubtedly.
“But I think if you ever enter into a long-term relationship and you have a doubt, then you shouldn’t be in the long-term relationship,”
